Dry start to the week, rain chances increase this weekend

It's muggy start to our morning. Temperatures are in the 70s and low 80s as we start the day. We have mostly clear skies with a few little showers off the coast. Some of that rain could briefly pass onshore to start the day, but most of us remain dry. Skies will stay mostly sunny as we head through the afternoon, with only the small chance of a brief inland downpour late in the day. It's a hot and humid day as well. Highs are near 90 with a heat index in the triple digits. Overall moisture is low across our area, but will start to increase later this week. More rain and storms could return this weekend.
