DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Duluth Police responded to another burglary in Duluth Wednesday night.

This marks the third home invasion in just as many days.

The third incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 2500 block of East 2nd Street.

Police's initial investigation shows a white male entered the residence, causing the homeowner to flee.

While fleeing the homeowner fell and received non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded and set up a perimeter. Law enforcement used a K9, drone, and canvased the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

"We share the concerns of our community and are working tirelessly to hold this individual accountable for his actions," said Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa in a press release. "We have staff canvassing the area around the clock and will continue to utilize our resources and surrounding partner agencies to make an arrest."

DPD is asking the community to remain vigilant, lock their doors, and encourage residents to not open their doors to anyone they don't know.

Police say they appreciate members of the Congdon neighborhood for their vigilance during this time and for reporting suspicious activity since these burglaries have started.
