Sports Eagles Get Uneven Injury Results Following Thursday Practice

Just when the Philadelphia Eagles seemed to be turning a corner when it came to their injuries, Week 6 happened and they are right back where they started.

Philadelphia is decimated with injuries going into their Week 7 contest against the New York Giants. Top players like Jordan Mailata, Dallas Goedert, and even Darius Slay, did not attend practice today with their respective injuries.

Making matters even worse, former ninth overall pick Jalen Carter, considered to be the best defensive lineman on the roster currently, is dealing with a sudden shoulder injury that also kept him out of practice.

With a key game against the Giants coming up, Philadelphia needs all hands on deck to stay afloat in an open AFC.

There is good news in that regard, though.

Former third-round safety Sydney Brown is expected to be activated and on the field for the Eagles on Sunday as reported by Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Brown returning would be a nice addition to a team that needs all the help they can get on the back end of their defense.

The situation at hand isn't pretty, but the Eagles should feel good about at least one player returning to the field at this point.
