Eagles rookie storylines for the Cowboys game

The Eagles are in Dallas this weekend as they take on the Cowboys for an NFC East showdown. Dallas is hampered with injuries on both sides of the ball, but these divisional games can go either way on any given Sunday. Here is what I am looking for from the rookies.

Can the defensive backs keep Cooper Rush at bay? A few years ago, the Cowboys got some pretty good play out of Cooper Rush when Dak Prescott went down early in the season. Rush's hot streak came to an end with a primetime game against the Eagles in Philly. Rush is now back in the line up, albeit it is a much worse team he has around him. That being said, he is a capable backup. Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean have played really well against much better receiver groups, but will still need to play great football against CeeDee Lamb to keep the Cowboys' offense under control.

Do WR injuries open the door for the rookie pass catchers? A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are expected to play against the Cowboys despite being on the injury report this week. Still, we could see Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith involved as role players.
