EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Rutherford County couple is offering a $500 reward for information after someone allegedly cut off power to their new home, disabled doorbell cameras and used their trailer to haul off brand-new appliances.

Danny and Janet Flannery were just days away from moving into their dream home in Eagleville. They built the property with an attached apartment for Janet's parents after her father received an Alzheimer's diagnosis.

On Sunday evening, the Flannerys spent several hours cleaning their new home before leaving for the night. The next morning, they got an unexpected call from appliance installers around 7 a.m.

"They were saying, 'Hey listen, we're here to install the appliances where are they at?'" Danny recalled. "And we're like, 'They're in the middle of the garage.' They're like, 'No, they're not.' And we're like, 'Well, they were there when we left at midnight last night.'"

When the Flannerys went to check their surveillance cameras they discovered the breaker supplying power to their house had been cut off. The washer and dryer set to be installed in their home were missing from the garage in addition to the stackable washer-dryer set to be installed in their parents' apartment. The couple said they're also missing a pallet of flooring and various construction items, including an industrial vacuum and ladder.

Danny and Janet told News 2 the alleged thieves came prepared, bringing a tool to grind off a lock on the couple's trailer in the garage, which was used to haul away the stolen items.

"They knew that there was a trailer here," Janet explained. "...So they were prepared, which is just so uncommon for a small town like this."

The Flannerys believe the suspects may have been watching their home to know when they would be gone, and where to locate their appliances and trailer.

"It makes you wonder: did you know them? Did you say hi to them in passing?" Danny added.

The couple estimated they've lost thousands of dollars worth of items and announced a $500 reward for anyone with information to help get it back. Since that announcement, Janet said she was uplifted to see an outpouring of support from her neighbors and the Eagleville community.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rutherford County Sheriff's Detective Christian Wrather at (615) 904-3093. One of the washer-dryer sets was forest green, and the other was a white, stackable unit.
