Early unofficial votes from Stanislaus County show Modesto City School's Measure X currently is passing with 64% of the vote Tuesday night through only mail-in ballots. It needs 55% of the votes to pass.

Measure X is to help repair and renovate elementary and middle schools in the district. It would be the fourth measure in six years, following the approval of Measures D and E in 2018 for K-8 facilities improvements and Measure L in 2022 for high schools.

The funding is for repairs for cafeterias, bathrooms and other facilities issues.

Last year, when they were preparing for the bond measure, they polled voters and found 65% supported the bond measure.

If passed, construction will start in summer 2025.
