Early voting in Greenville sees large turnout and long lines

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — On the second day of early voting the polls here in the east are already filling up.

Wait times were as long as an hour and a half Friday afternoon at Boyd Park in Greenville, as one of the normal voting sites for election day, Alice Keene Park, remains under construction. Some voters even showed up and turned around once seeing the line to cast their votes.

"I am flexible so I'm going to try Ayden, because I heard yesterday when it was an hour-and-a-half, two hours here, it was quick there, and it's busy in there today and I thought I'd give it a shot." said voter Randy Draper.

It is still unclear at this time whether the lengthy wait to vote has any correlation with the construction at Alice Keene Park.
