EastEnders stars unite decked out in their finery for Walford winter wedding - but it's bad news for one guest

The cast of EastEnders dressed in all their finery as they gathered for the winter wedding of Elaine Peacock and George Knight this week.

Virtually all the cast of the long-running BBC soap gathered at a church in Bushey, Hertfordshire to film scenes for the nuptials as Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) and George ( Colin Salmon ) finally prepare to say 'I do'.

However, while everyone appeared delighted by the big day as they milled about on set, the wedding spelled bad news for one character - George's ex Cindy Beale.

Filming images on location sees the character (played by Michelle Collins ) dressed in black and looking glum outside the church as her ex-husband prepared to walk down the aisle.

Fans of the show will know that Cindy has been trying to get back with George for months, however, she'd been left bitterly disappointed as George continued to stand by Elaine.

The rejection led Cindy to embark on a sordid affair with George's son Junior (Micah Balfour), with the duo's fling going on for quite some time now.

And judging by Cindy's face of thunder in the images, it doesn't look like she's managed to find happiness with either of the Knight men.

While she cut a glum figure, Cindy's skulking outside the church could hint that she's plotting to put a stop to George's commitment to Elaine.

Filming pictures also see Cindy's partner Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) on set, as well as her fling Junior, suggesting that there could be a huge showdown to come if news about her affair or meddling comes to light.

As ever with Walford weddings, things are never straightforward, so fans will no doubt have some drama to look forward to when the scenes air over the festive period.

While Cindy looked bleak in a black outfit fit for a funeral, Elaine was every inch the ravishing bride, looking gorgeous in an embellished champagne gown.

She finished off her bridal look with a flurry black stole, platform heels and her fiery locks swept up into a glamorous style.

George's daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna Knight (Mollie Rainford) served as bridesmaids for the occasion, looking chic in dark green dresses.

While George's son Junior and Linda's son Johnny (Charlie Suff) acted as groomsman, donning matching light tan suits to groom George.

Elaine's daughter Linda dressed up for the event in a pale green dress, with actress Kellie Bright covering up in a grey jacket in between scenes.

Sharon Watts star Letitia Dean showcased her weight loss in a fitted black dress as she laughed alongside longtime co-star Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell), who teamed a black bucket hat with his suit.

Jamie Borthwick (Jay Brown) was also seen on set as he took a break from Strictly Come Dancing training.

Other cast members pictured on set included Diane Parish (Denise Fox), Tameka Empson (Kim Fox), Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) and Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Beale).

While Patrick and Yolande Trueman (Rudolph Walker and Angela Wynter), Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson), Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine), Zack Hudson (James Farrar), Callum Highway (Tony Clay),Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) and barmaid Tracey (Jane Slaughter).

One character who wasn't involved in the celebrations was Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), following his exit from the soap this week.

His exit comes after a huge fallout with girlfriend Anna Knight ( Molly Rainford ) and best friend Freddie Slater ( Bobby Brazier ).

In Wednesday night's episode, Bobby walked in on Anna and Freddie kissing and was left completely distraught.

He also discovered that Anna was planning on getting an abortion after finding out she was pregnant with his baby.

Bobby and Anna decided they still wanted to be together but a scheming Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) then lied to him.

She wrongly told him that Anna had admitted she had feelings for Freddie and that she would break his heart if he stuck around.

This prompted Bobby to suggest that he could go and stay with Jane Beale (Laurie Brett) in the Cotswolds, and Cindy encouraged him to do so.

Spoilers reveal Ian Beale desperately tries to get Bobby to stay in Walford by driving Freddie out of the Square.

However, Bobby ultimately left the show, with Jane (Laurie Brett) making a surprise return to take her adopted son away.
