Eastern Florida State College Soccer Tops Daytona State College in Conference Road Gametitans to conclude regular season against Monroe University on Saturday

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Before the game the mantra was the season begins today. And then the Eastern Florida State College men's soccer team came out and defeated Daytona State College Tuesday night on the road.

The eighth-ranked Titans scored four times to pick up the conference win against the 12th-ranked Falcons. It was the first time in seven games that the Titans have scored four goals or more and it came from four different players.

The Titans got things going quickly as Isaak Torossian scored four minutes into the contest, getting his foot on a good ball into the box. The lead would be short as Daytona State College found the equalizer in the 14th minute of the contest.

It would remain tied until the 35th minute when Mukisa Emmanuel took a pass in the box and chipped it past the keeper to give the Titans a 2-1 lead.

It looked like the Titans would lead at halftime, but a Daytona State College corner kick saw the EFSC goalkeeper make a diving save to punch it away but went right to the Falcon's leading scorer, Hector Moreno who buried it to send Daytona State College into halftime tied 2-2.

The Titans regrouped and played some of their best soccer in the second half as Joao Loureiro made a nice run and hit a shot past the keeper just 33 seconds into the half to give the Titans the lead once again.

Eastern Florida State College made it 4-2 when Liam Kuemmitz took a pass, made a move to get clear and rifled a shot into the corner of the net.

From there the defense took over, keeping Daytona State College at bay. Ryuta Morioka and Zak Ford kept the runs from wings in check multiple times making nice plays to end threats.

Eastern Florida State College will host Monroe University on Saturday night to wrap up the regular season. The game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV and admission to Orlando Health Stadium is free.
