ECU Pirates take on Florida Atlantic Owls in midweek, Thursday night football game
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — This Thursday is game day at East Carolina University as the football team has a home game versus Florida Atlantic.
Some students on campus said that a mid-week game feels like a gift that came early. "Love it, gives me something to do there during the week. You know, I get to hang out, you know, just enjoy the environment," ECU football fan Fredrick Wright-Boone said. "The boneyard. I love the boneyard, the student section has always really rallied up and excited to enjoy the game and I really hope we get a win today."
Last time the Pirates were home was for their Homecoming game, a win over Temple, 56-43. This is the second game with Interim Head Coach Blake Harrell leading the team and it's a "Paint it Black game."
