EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Effingham County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) has announced that it is launching a new custom application for smartphones.

The app was designed with the goal of connecting the ECSO with residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com . The site specializes in mobile app development for sheriff's offices and public safety organizations across the country.

"Over 80 percent of people in the United States own and use smartphones as their primary means of communication," OCV Partner and CRO Kevin Cummings said.
