Eight most expensive homes sold in Salem County, Oct. 28 - Nov. 3

A house in Pennsville that sold for $400,000 tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Salem County in the past week.

In total, eight residential real estate sales were recorded in the county during the past week, with an average price of $248,063, or $165 per square foot.

The prices in the list below concern real estate sales where the title was recorded during the week of Oct. 28 even if the property may have been sold earlier.

The property at 57 Cumberland Ave. in Penns Grove has new owners. The price was $160,000. The house was built in 1940 and has a living area of 640 square feet. The price per square foot is $250. The deal was finalized on Oct. 23.

The property at 325 Taft Ave. in Penns Grove has new owners. The price was $205,000. The house was built in 1917 and has a living area of 1,034 square feet. The price per square foot is $198. The deal was finalized on Oct. 22.

The sale of the single-family residence at 27 Seventh Street, Salem, has been finalized. The price was $205,000, and the new owners took over the house in September. The house was built in 1910 and has a living area of 1,272 square feet. The price per square foot was $161. The deal was finalized on Sep. 17.

The 1,921 square-foot single-family home at 8 S. Smith Ave., Penns Grove, has been sold. The transfer of ownership was settled in October and the total purchase price was $220,000, $115 per square foot. The house was built in 1900. The deal was finalized on Oct. 23.

The sale of the single family residence at 9 Zane Street in Pennsville has been finalized. The price was $227,500, and the new owners took over the house in October.
