El Cerrito police searching for man who sexually battered disabled woman

( KRON ) — The El Cerrito Police Department is searching for a man who sexually battered a disabled woman last week, ECPD announced Monday.

The assault happened on Nov. 13 at about 3:30 p.m. on Stockton Avenue near Elm Street. Police said the suspect slapped the rear end of a woman who is visually and hearing impaired.

The suspect was described as a tall man with a thin-to-medium build. He was wearing a gray or white sweatshirt, dark pants and white shoes. He ran off after the battery.

ECPD obtained surveillance video of a man matching that description following the woman on Stockton Avenue before the assault (image above).
