Elite 2026 LB Izayia Williams decommits from Florida State
Leesburg (Fla.) Tavares four-star linebacker Izayia Williams has decommitted from Florida State , per On3's Hayes Fawcett.
He was pledged to the Seminoles since Sept. 4. Williams was also previously committed to from April to August this year, and was pledged to from last November to this January.
The 6-foot, 200-pounder is the No. 85 overall prospect and No. 6 LB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in as the No. 40 recruit, No. 2 LB and No. 5 junior in Florida, per the 2026 On300.
Williams is now back on the board for the second time, this time coming off a visit to Miami at the end of October, where he saw the Hurricanes roll past FSU in Coral Gables.
"It was great to meet all the coaches," Williams told On3's Steve Wiltfong after the visit . "It was great. I love Miami and everything about The U. always been a big fan of Miami."
He holds offers from over 15 Power Four programs, including the likes of Florida, USC, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and SMU.

Newbury Park (Calif.) four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel continues to headline the junior class as the No. 43 recruit and No. 5 QB in the cycle. Not far behind is Vero Beach (Fla.) four-star athlete Efrem White , the No. 62 recruit and No. 3 3 ATH in the cycle. White committed last December, while Smigiel joined the fold this summer in June.
All five commits in the class are blue-chippers. Tampa Plant four-star ATH Darryon Williams is a top-100 recruit in the On300, while Miami Barbara Goleman four-star safety safety Darryl Bell and Homestead (Fla.) South Dade four-star safety Tedarius Hughes bolster things in the secondary.
