Oct. 31, 2001 Elizabeth Ann (McGuiness) Stancik, 61, of Wilkes-Barre, died
Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1940, in
Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Mildred (Morrow) McGuiness, of
Wilkes-Barre, and the late Michael McGuiness. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s
High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate
Conception. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Frank J.
Stancik; one son, Robert Conway Jr., from Plains Township, Pa.; two daughters,
Linda Stets, from Plains Township, Pa.; Lee Ann Conway, from Dallas, Pa.;
granddaughter, Samantha; grandson, Nathan; brothers, Michael F. McGuiness,
from Easton, Pa.; and Thomas P. McGuiness, from Long Beach, Calif.; and
several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from
McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with
funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call
Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer
