Elyse Knowles reveals painful pregnancy side effect before heading out for a family bike ride with her fiance Josh Barker and their two kids

The Block's Elyse Knowles has given a candid insight into her pregnancy as she revealed a painful side effect she has been dealing with.

The model, 32, who is expecting her third child with her fiancé Josh Barker, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to share a video of her bruised-looking legs.

In the clip, she panned the camera around to show dark veins running down her calves in what appeared to be varicose veins - blood vessels that have collected too much blood.

'Legs be poppin' this time around,' Elyse wrote alongside the video, suggesting she is suffering worse than she did in her first two pregnancies with Sunny, three, and Zali, one.

Up to four in ten pregnant women suffer from varicose veins and they often start in the first trimester of pregnancy.

But Elyse put her painful woes aside later in the day as she stepped out to enjoy some family time with her partner Josh and their kids Sunny and Zali.

She showed off her growing baby bump as she walked their dog in a local Byron Bay park before enjoying a bike ride with her children.

For the outing, Elyse cut a stylish figure in an olive tank dress which cradled her baby bump.

She kept comfortable in a pair of Birkenstock-style sandals and accessorised with some silver jewellery.

Elyse - whose due date is not known - shielded her eyes from the bright sunshine with a pair of black shades and carried her essentials in a hessian bag.

Meanwhile, Josh opted for a casual look in a plain white T-shirt, which he styled with a pair of green shorts.

Choosing to go barefoot for the occasion, Josh also kept the sun of his face with a navy blue cap.

The family appeared to be having a good time with Josh and Elyse bringing a fat tyre mountain bike to the park.

Zali also brought her bike along and appeared to be having a great time riding along side Josh and Elyse, who were taking turns at carefully ferrying Sunny around the park.

The couple's Weimaraner pooches also joined in the fun, happily prancing alongside the family as they rode.

Elyse looked to be having a great day in the sun, smiling as she happily rode around the park with her beloved family.

The adventurous model even successfully managed to balance both children on the bike at one point.

Zali was laughing and enjoying the ride, while Elyse confidently pedalled around the park and Josh ran alongside with the faithful pooches.

Josh was later seen lying down in the middle of the park, taking a well-earned break as Sunny and Elyse watched on.

Josh and Elyse, who rose to fame when they were crowned winners of The Block in 2017, welcomed Sunny in February 2021.

They announced the birth of their first child shortly after revealing they had secretly become engaged.

The former reality stars moved from Melbourne to Byron Bay in 2019 seeking a quieter life.

In May 2020, they purchased a $2.3million beach house in the New South Wales coastal town, which they renovated.

Elyse revealed to Stellar magazine that she was crippled by anxiety following the birth of her son, Sunny.

'I got quite anxious leaving home for the first time. My heart was racing. I didn't know if I could do it,' she told the publication.

'Having [Sunny], having our dogs and getting out there... And Sunny was screaming in the car and it made me quite scared.'

'I found it hard to breathe and I had to tell myself, "It's fine, what could go wrong? Everyone has babies... you just have to go for it," she added.
