An Erie teen is being charged with rape after police said he forced another teen to have intercourse with him at gunpoint. Erie police arrested 18-year-old Jaquan Manus Friday morning charging him with felony rape and sexual assault along with misdemeanor terroristic threats. Police said Manus had been in a relationship with the victim for two months and pressured her into having sex before making threats demanding it. Manus allegedly contacted the victim by video call on Oct. 26 demanding that she come over to his house to have sex. The 18-year-old then allegedly threatened to shoot her and shoot up her house if she didn't comply while brandishing a pistol. Police said the victim went to Manus' residence in the 600 block of East 21st St. after receiving the threats and when she arrived Manus showed her the gun was loaded and maintained control of it during the assault. A warrant was issued for Manus' arrest on Nov. 13 and he was taken into custody. Manus is being held in Erie County Prison on $175,000 bail and is set to appear in Erie County Court on Dec. 4.
