Everything We Know About The Next Season Of 'The Great British Baking Show'

Bakers, hold on to your hats. The Great British Baking Show (or The Great British Bake Off , for U.K. readers) is back this fall, and we finally have a premiere date.

Season 12 will be available to stream in the U.S. weekly on Netflix starting September 27, and will feature a total of 10 episodes. The first episode will premiere in the U.K. three days earlier, on September 24. Expect new baking challenges and dazzling recipes that are sure to delight fans.

Netflix has been the exclusive American streaming home for the show for several years, with new seasons hitting the platform annually since 2018. Netflix subscribers can look forward to new episodes arriving just a few days after they've aired on Channel 4 in the U.K.

As usual, this season was filmed at the picturesque Welford Park . Returning to guide the new class of bakers are Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond , the latter of whom took over from Matt Lucas last year and is sure to bring her signature humor and warmth back to the tent. And of course, there is no Bake Off without our favorite judging duo, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith .

Meet 'The Great British Baking Show' Class of 2024 Andy is a 44-year-old mechanic from Essex, U.K., whose love for baking is rooted in family traditions learned from his mother, such as apple crumbles and Bakewell tarts. He aims to inspire his daughter, Maisie, to follow in his baking footsteps.

Christiaan is a 34-year-old fashion designer originally from The Netherlands. He studied fashion in Amsterdam prior to moving to the U.K. and brings a meticulous eye for design to his baking. He enjoys creating beautiful bakes with floral and citrus flavors, often inspired by his love of gardening and music.

Dylan is a 20-year-old baker from Buckinghamshire who is influenced by his Indian and Japanese-Belgian heritage and a love for travel. His curiosity for culture shines through his baking, as he enjoys experimenting with flavors and presentation.

Georgie is a 34-year-old nurse from Wales with Italian roots. Her passion for baking was nurtured by her Nonna Rosa. As a forager, she draws inspiration from nature and enjoys baking for her family in their Welsh farmhouse, where she also loves to sing.

Gill is a 53-year-old senior category manager from Lancashire who has been baking since childhood. She creates traditional bakes with modern twists, often using recipes that honor her family's legacy, including her dad's signature lemon meringue pie.

Hazel is a former nail technician from Kent. At 71 years old, she will be the oldest contestant in this year's tent. Hazel enjoys baking elaborate cakes for family celebrations, often incorporating interactive elements. With a competitive spirit, she also loves hosting gatherings and playing bingo.

Illiyin is a 31-year-old birth trauma specialist midwife and published author from Norfolk. She grew up in a large family, becoming the go-to baker for birthday cakes. Inspired by diverse cuisines, she blends Middle Eastern and Caribbean flavors in her baking.

Originally from the Bronx, 57-year-old Jeff has lived in the U.K. since 1979. He learned baking from his grandmother and enjoys making classic American desserts like New York cheesecake while staying active outdoors.

Mike is a 29-year-old farm manager from Wiltshire. As a fourth-generation farmer, Mike advocates for the LGBTQ+ community within agriculture. His baking style is hearty and wholesome, focusing on local ingredients, including those from his farm for his wedding cake.

Nelly is a 44-year-old palliative care assistant. She grew up with her dad in Slovakia and has since developed her baking skills. Nelly incorporates flavors from Slovakian and Pakistani cuisines while enjoying jewelry making.

Sumayah is a 19-year-old dentistry student from Lancashire and this year's youngest baker in the tent. Currently on a gap year, Sumayah is a self-taught baker who creates imaginative fusion bakes. Her notable project was a macaron tower for her aunt's wedding celebration.

John is 37-year-old healthcare worker from the West Midlands, U.K. His grandmother taught him how to cook, and now he bakes to honor her memory and make sure her skills in the kitchen are passed down to his nephews.

As the premiere approaches, fans can look forward to the camaraderie, creativity, and competition that have made The Great British Baking Show such an institution. So mark your calendars for September 27—and on your mark, get set, bake!
