River Arts Inc. will host a free, curator-led tour of the exhibition "Nuestro Sueños/Our Dreams" from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sauk Prairie River Arts Center at 105 Ninth St. in Prairie du Sac.

Roberto Torres Mata will lead the tour explaining his inspiration for putting together the exhibition and why he chose certain pieces to be in the show. He sees it as a vibrant and multifaceted exhibition that celebrates the rich tapestry of Latin American artists in Wisconsin. Artists use a diverse array of mediums including printmaking, painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media, to explore themes rooted in the Latin American experience.

Exhibiting artists include Adriana Barrios, Angelica Contreras, Ben Orozco, Francisco X. Mora, Fernando Rico, Issis Macias, Jacob Bautista, Jacobo Lovo, Jackelin Espinosa Moyotl, Conhg Lopez A., Maria Amalia Wood, Neto Atkinson, Rodrigo Carapia, Richie Morales and Natalie Ergas.

Torres Mata, a native of Huntington Beach, California, who now lives in Madison, is a multidisciplinary artist whose work delves into the issues surrounding migration in the Americas and beyond. He earned his bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and a master of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
