October 10, 2024

Units were dispatched to a business alarm at the 600 block of Crandon Boulevard. Officers checked the property, and all appeared secure.

A KBFD truck backed into a wall at the Key Colony gate entrance around the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard. There were no injuries. Officers documented the incident in a traffic crash report.

Police at the 1100 block of Crandon Boulevard were contacted by the complainant regarding concerns about their mother dating someone. The mother does not suffer from any medical conditions. Officers advised the complainant to monitor the situation.

The complainant at the 600 block of Crandon Boulevard contacted police regarding hitting a cyclist while turning into the Winn-Dixie Parking lot. The cyclist was okay and refused rescue or police involvement. The complainant wanted to document the incident.

Units at the 300 block of Ocean Drive were contacted regarding a disturbance. Officers spoke to the involved parties and learned the dispute was with a nanny. There was no physical evidence. Officers documented the dispute and issued a case card.

The complainant at the 600 block of Ocean Drive contacted police and advised them he was injured while walking on the beach access sidewalk behind the Ocean Club. While walking, they cut their foot on two nails sticking out of the sidewalk. Officers documented the incident and placed caution tape with a cone until repairs could be made.

Units responded to the 300 block of Woodcrest Road regarding a parking dispute. On arrival, the dispute was resolved.

The complainant at the 100 block of Ocean Lane Drive contacted police to advise they were the victim of an assault and battery. They told police they were battered by an unknown person at Fernwood Rd. and Westwood Dr. after a road rage incident. The victim waited five hours to report the incident and declined rescue.

Police at the 400 block of Grand Bay Drive were contacted regarding missing medication. Officers contacted the complainant, who stated they woke up from a nap, when they noticed their necklace and medication were missing. Officers spoke with hotel security, and no one had accessed the room during the timeframe the complainant advised. Officers documented the incident.
