'Fake influencer' Suzan Mutesi throws lavish brunch book launch after she was caught out reviewing her own book on Amazon

Controversial online personality Suzan Mutesi celebrated the launch of her book Love Beyond 30s during a lavish brunch at Marta, Sydney on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old, who has long been accused of being a 'fake influencer', shared images of the intimate gathering on Instagram.

Mutesi stole the show in an extravagant dress which featured a nude halter neck bodice with huge emerald green tulle skirts.

She rocked a blonde wig for the occasion and a bold red lip as she finished off her look with a set of neon green nails.

Mutesi was all smiles as she enjoyed a lavish meal and drinks with her friends at the Italian restaurant Marta Osteria.

'Thank you all so much for coming to the brunch launch today and, even more importantly, for showing up as yourselves,' Mutesi captioned the reel.

'Seriously, the vulnerability and honesty you've shared have been so refreshing and not just because we're all admitting that dating beyond 30s is like a wild, overpriced game of hide-and-seek.

'You all remind us that finding love and loving someone takes serious guts. It takes patience, kindness, resilience, and the courage to peel back the surface and look beyond the filters, the facades, and those perfectly curated dating app profiles.'

Mutesi went on to say she wrote her book to capture the 'real, messy, hilarious truths' of modern dating in your 30s and beyond.

'We're a little wiser, a bit more successful, and way pickier than we used to be,' she said.

'So yeah, dating means navigating a jungle of membership fees, crazy first-date budgets, and occasionally wondering if that "perfect match" has ever loaded a dishwasher correctly.

'And somehow, through all of that, we're learning that the most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves.'

Mutesi finished her lengthy message by thanking her friends who attended the launch and the ones who 'might think their invitation got lost in the mail'.

'Love you all and here's to love, laughter, tears, and learning from each other's dating adventures,' she ended.

It comes after the influencer made waves earlier this week after trying to boost sales of her new book by posting a five star review on Amazon.

Mutesi, who's been accused of everything from buying Instagram followers and photoshopping herself into private jets , was exposed by her nemesis Jamie Azzopardi in a series of savage posts shared to their Instagram on Monday night.

The review, left under her own name, described the book as an 'empowering pursuit of self-worth' and claimed that her novel 'resonated deeply'.

It claimed the fiction was a 'must-read for anyone navigating their 30s with humour and heart'.

'The book brilliantly captures the highs and lows of dating beyond your 30s in this clever narrative. The relatable anecdotes and poignant moments had me laughing, cringing, and nodding along,' it read.

Azzopardi also accused Mutesi of staging paparazzi photos while she was on a date with British actor David Walliams when he was in Australia back in 2022.

In a statement to Daily Mail Australia, the actress admitted to leaving the review on her own book.

'I wanted to share my genuine excitement and let readers know how much I believe in the journey this book offers,' she explained.

'Leaving my own review felt like speaking directly to each person who picks it up, as if to say, "This was written with you in mind, and I hope it resonates deeply with you too." I just wanted to put my love for the book out there in my own words.'
