Family hosts car and motorcycle meet to remember motorcyclist killed on I-75

Jona Brown's family and friends gathered together after he died in a motorcycle crash on I-75 in Estero

Family and friends of Jona Brown, the motorcyclist killed in a crash on I-75 in Estero early Sunday morning, gathered together to remember him."It's been a long week. It's been very tough, but we're just here to celebrate Jonathan's life. To support our family, and this was his passion," said Jona's wife, Alexandra Roman. People showed up to the memorial car and bike meet, where Jona's Jeep and iconic purple car were displayed. Jona had a passion for motorcycles and cars but, most of all, loved his family. He leaves behind two children, a 20-year-old and a 9-year-old"That was his passion. He loved his bike. I'm not going to hate bikes for it. We're just going to keep living, moving forward and keep living his passion," Roman said. The Lee County Sheriff's Office is working with the State Attorney's Office to investigate this crash.They aren't releasing any other details at the moment due to the crash being a large scene, but can confirm a shooting did not happen. The victim's family is also still searching for answers.
