Sports Fans are All Saying the Same Thing About Dave Aranda After Embarrassing Collapse

Just when it seemed like the Baylor Bears were going to ruin the Colorado Buffaloes' homecoming game, Deion Sanders' squad secured a miraculous 38-31 victory in overtime.

While the Buffs had a couple of mesmerizing plays that will forever be remembered, Baylor fans will likely remember how poorly their team played down the stretch.

Colorado receiver Will Sheppard originally bailed out the defense, dropping a would-be touchdown to tie the game with under 10 seconds remaining. With that in mind, Baylor head coach Dave Aranda, who is known for his defensive prowess, didn't appear to make an adjustment on the final play of regulation.

The very next, Shedeur Sanders launched another bomb, but this one was caught to tie the game and send it to overtime. The Buffs then scored a touchdown and forced a Baylor fumble to complete the double-digit comeback.

A loss has fans calling for Aranda to be shown the door.

"Dave Aranda is as good as gone after that," wrote one user.

"If Baylor fans care about their football program, they'll demand that Dave Aranda is not a part of its future. What a meltdown," added another.

"Fireable offense for Dave Aranda," commented another.

Baylor had ample opportunities to put this game away and simply could not capitalize. It's a tale that the fans in Waco are growing sick of as the program has fallen off a cliff after winning the Big 12 in 2021.

After the 12-2 season that was capped off with a Sugar Bowl win, the Bears have gone 11-17 in the ensuing three seasons.

Being that they still have eight games to play in a very unpredictable Big 12, Aranda has time to save his job. However, he certainly wouldn't be getting the benefit of the doubt if the season ends as poorly as the last two.
