Fans say ‘I’m a believer now’ as Mike Tyson, 58, makes emotional admission ahead of Jake Paul boxing showdown

MIKE TYSON has made an emotional admission ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.

Iron Mike, 58, is set to take on the Problem Child, 27, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in front of an expected crowd of more than 100,000.

With Paul being 31 years Tyson 's junior, many have written off the former heavyweight champion's chances.

But he is determined to show that "age is just a number" when he steps into the ring on November 15.

In a clip posted to his Instagram account, Tyson said: "I want to change biology, I want to change the way people think about age."

He then added: "People think that as you get older you become weaker, you become less physically active at a high level.

"It's all psychological. If you believe you feel bad and you feel old - then you feel bad and old.

"If you believe you feel great, you feel great. It's all about what we see about ourselves."

Seeing his defiant comments, Tyson's fans were left excited ahead of the fight.

One wrote on social media: "I'm a believer now."

While a second commented: "I concur!!! Great way to think."

A third said: "No better way to put it, keep believing, fight strong in life."

And another added: "You will always be the CHAMP. You will win this next fight!"

Tyson's bout with Paul had originally been scheduled for July 20.

Iron Mike was forced to pull out, however, due to an ulcer flare-up.

The undercard to the bout is taking shape nicely.

Katie Taylor 's much-anticipated rematch with Amanda Serrano is set to go ahead.

While Darren Till is scheduled to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Tyson last took to the ring in November 2020, when he and Roy Jones Jr fought to a draw in a Los Angeles exhibition.

Paul, meanwhile, improved to a 10-1 professional record in July, when he defeated Tyson's stand-in fighter Mike Perry via sixth-round knockout.
