Farmington elections: Hoyt elected mayor, Cordes and Wilson win city council race
Joshua Hoyt won the race for mayor of Farmington in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 election and Jake Cordes and Steve Wilson won seats on the Lakeville city council with 6 out of 6 precincts reporting.
Hoyt received 51% of the mayoral vote while Paul Larsen received 47%.
Cordes received 35% of the city council vote while Wilson received 31%, Joshua Gore received 15% and Justin Wiles received 16%.
Cordes hopes to promote economic development to the Farmington area and to exert fiscal responsibility through funding of public safety, infrastructure and parks and recreation programs. Wilson hopes to complete a $2.6 million renovation of Farmington's senior center, the Rambling River Center, while also promoting business and residential growth. Additionally, Wilson hopes to expand the Farmington Police Department.
