FEMA opens recovery center in Scott County, Virginia
SCOTT COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced on Wednesday a Disaster Recovery Center is now open in Scott County to assist survivors of Hurricane Helene.
The recovery center is located at 225 Boone Trail in Duffield, Virginia. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The centers offer disaster assistance for physical damage for homeowners, renters, private nonprofits and businesses. FEMA advises those with insurance not to wait for their settlement before applying for disaster assistance.

Applications can be filled out online , in person or by calling the FEMA Help Line at 800-621-3362.
