Female extricated from vehicle after collision with train

NPSO Lt. B. Smith, Sgt . B. Remo, Deputy S. Kennedy, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #9, NPSO Rescue and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to the scene of a train/vehicle crash with reported injuries on Nov. 4 around 10 pm on US71/US84 across from the Old M&M Grocery in Campti, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office. The road was blocked. while Natchitoches Parish Fire District #9 used extrication equipment to free the driver and sole-occupant of the vehicle from the wreckage. The female patient was transported by EMS to a regional trauma center with what is believed to be moderate non-life threatening injuries. She was reportedly wearing her seat belt.
