Field hockey, girls volleyball states schedule set

The schedule is set and Wyoming Valley West, Crestwood and Lake-Lehman are ready for their march into the PIAA state playoffs.
All three games will be on Tuesday, with Valley West kicking off things with a 5 p.m. matchup against Council Rock North, the fourth seed from District 1 in Class 3A action. The game will be played at the Wyoming Seminary H.S. football field. The winner will advance to face the winner of Emmaus (District 11, No. 1 seed)/Conestoga (1-5) on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The second game of the doubleheader will be at 7 p.m. and will feature Crestwood squaring off against Boiling Springs, the fifth seed from District 3. Winner advances to the quarterfinals to face the winner of Selinsgrove (4-1)/Twin Valley(3-3) on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Lake-Lehman hits the road to face Southern Lehigh, the No. 1 seed out of District 11. The Black Knights will play at Whitehall H.S. at 6 p.m. Winner will square off against the winner of Villa Maria (1-1)/Manheim Central (3-4) at Saturday, Nov. 8.
Girls Volleyball
Holy Redeemer heads to Athens H.S. to face Wyalusing, the No. 1 seed from District 2, at 7 p.m. Winner advances to the quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 8 to face the winner of Berks Catholic/Academy at Palumbo.
