Fiery crash closes EB I-74 near Morton

MORTON ( 25News Now ) - Eastbound I-74 near the Morton exit was closed late Wednesday night after an apparent crash in which one of the vehicles caught fire.

A 25News crew saw a semi with significant front-end damage and what appeared to be a burned-out vehicle. The crew also saw several cars stopped on the roadway and a firefighter rolling up a hose.

Posts on social media showed a fire with billowing smoke and flames high above the accident scene.
