Miami’s 2023 season has seen the Hurricanes post a 6-5 record to this point and year three is going to be a critical time to take a leap-and to do that head coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes will need to have a successful showing during the talent acquisition phase of program building this offseason.

The Hurricanes currently own the No. 11 overall recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. Miami signed the No. 7 overall class in the country during last year's 2023 cycle.

Miami will look to sign another top ten class in this 2024 cycle. The Hurricanes have never signed back-to-back top ten classes during the 247Sports era, which dates back to the 2011 cycle.

Miami’s class features 26 commits and the Hurricanes will be chasing plenty of big time players down the stretch like 5-star WR Jeremiah Smith, 5-star CB Ellis Robinson, 5-star DL Armondo Blount, and others.

The finishing touches on this 2024 recruiting class is going to be interesting to follow with the early signing period running December 20-22.

The transfer portal will also be interesting to monitor with the window set to open in early December. Plenty of movement is expected nationally within the portal and Miami is expected to be a significant player in acquiring proven talent within the college ranks.

Miami will have plenty of additions and defections in the portal as Cristobal looks to reshape the roster to reflect the type of physicality and mentality he wants within the program.

Will Cristobal make any coaching changes once he analyzes the program after the season? This is another storyline to monitor.
