First-ever “Strides for Serenity 5K” at Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Michael J. Dias Foundation, in partnership with Northstar Recovery Center, is holding its first-ever "Strides for Serenity 5k" at Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke on Saturday.

Hope for Holyoke marches for Recovery Awareness Month

The goal of this event, according to the Michael J. Dias Foundation, is to support those who have been affected by addiction. Proceeds from the event are being put towards the Michael J. Dias Foundation's mission to open a women's sober home in western Massachusetts, offering resources and support to women on their recovery journey.

Registration for the 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, $35 for same-day registration, with the race set to start at 10:00 a.m. at the Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke.

The Michael J. Dias Foundation has continued to provide hope and resources through advocacy, education, and support services for the community. Northstar Recovery Center is an outpatient substance abuse program in West Springfield and Southborough, Massachusetts, and is dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome the challenges of substance use disorders.
