SUSQUEHANNA – Jim Colvin and Calvin Golden scored a pair of touchdowns
apiece in the first quarter and Colvin added two more in the second quarter as
Lackawanna Trail routed Susquehanna 44-0 in a Northeast Pennsylvania Football
Conference Division 4 matchup Saturday.
Colvin started the scoring with a 3-yard run. Golden than caught a 37-yard
scoring strike from Devin Myers for a 14-0 lead. On Susquehanna’s next drive,
Golden picked off a pass and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown. Colvin
closed the first quarter’s scoring with a 61-yard touchdown run.
In the second, Colvin rushed for a 3-yard touchdown and later caught a
John Hickok added a 32-yard field goal in the third for the Lions (8-1, 7-1
Div. 4).
Colvin led all rushers with 111 yards on 16 carries. Myers finished seven
of 11 through the air for 164 yards. Keith Lindquist was the leading ground
gainer for Susquehanna (3-6, 3-5 Div. 4), running 10 times for 26 yards.
