Fleury, Penguins blank Capitals

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Marc-Andre Fleury made 32 saves for his fifth shutout of the season, leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 2-0 victory over the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night.
Jussi Jokinen and Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins, who swept the teams’ home-and-series one night after beating the Capitals 3-2 in Washington. Pittsburgh has won three in a row and picked up at least a point in eight of its last 10 games. The Penguins have also beaten their longtime rivals a franchise-record eight straight times.
Alexander Ovechkin was held without a point for the fourth consecutive game as the Capitals lost for the fourth time in their last five.
Devils 2, Flyers 1
PHILADELPHIA — Jaromir Jagr scored the winning goal to snap a third-period tie and led New Jersey over Philadelphia.
Travis Zajac had the other goal for New Jersey (29-24-13), which won for the fifth in seven games to move within two points of the third-place Flyers in the tightly bunched Metropolitan Division.
Nicklas Grossman scored for the Flyers (33-25-7), who are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. Philadelphia had a potential tying goal by Scott Hartnell disallowed by officials with 40.1 seconds remaining because it was determined that Hartnell pushed goalie Martin Brodeur into the net.
Hurricanes 3, Rangers 1
RALEIGH, N.C. — Jordan Staal and Jiri Tlusty both had a goal and an assist, and Carolina snapped a 10-game losing streak against New York.
Elias Lindholm added an insurance goal for Carolina late in the third period. Cam Ward made 24 saves for his first win since Dec. 31.
Kevin Klein had the Rangers’ goal, scoring for the first time since being acquired from Nashville on Jan. 22. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 32 shots.
Blue Jackets 4, Red Wings 1
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Rookie Boone Jenner and veteran Brandon Dubinsky scored 40 seconds apart in the third period and Sergei Bobrovsky had 40 saves to lead Columbus past Detroit.
Nick Foligno and Derek MacKenzie also had goals and Nathan Horton had two assists for the Blue Jackets, who have won five of six.
Danny DeKeyser scored for the Red Wings, who went to third-string goalie Petr Mrazek when Jimmy Howard couldn’t play because of the flu. Mrazek stopped 33 shots.
Predators 4, Sabres 1
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Shea Weber had a goal and an assist and Nashville won its second straight road game with a victory over Buffalo.
Nick Spaling, Craig Smith and Paul Gaustad also scored for Nashville, which got 24 saves from Carter Hutton.
Drew Stafford scored for Buffalo, which has lost three in a row.
Coyotes 3, Panthers 1
SUNRISE, Fla. — Radim Vrbata had a goal and two assists to lead Phoenix over Florida.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Mike Ribeiro also scored for the Coyotes. Mike Smith made 31 saves.
Brandon Pirri scored and Roberto Luongo stopped 23 shots for the Panthers.
