After leaving Mayweather Promotions, Gervonta Davis publicly blasted Floyd Mayweather on several occasions. Besides believing he had surpassed Mayweather as far as achievements were concerned, Davis publicly branded 'Money' as a "fraud." Later he even debarred Mayweather's protege Curmel Moton from fighting on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs. Frank Martin. Now, Moton clarified whether or not he had "beef" with 'Tank' Davis.

Gervonta Davis' return to the ring against Frank Martin was greatly anticipated as the fight disposed of between 325,000 and 350,000 PPVs only in the United States. Therefore, a fight on the undercard of Davis vs. Martin would have guaranteed commendable exposure for the rising star, Moton. However, while Mayweather and 'Tank' bantered, Moton praised 'TBE' via a tweet, giving the impression he was taking Floyd's side against Davis. As a result, furious Davis dispensed with Moton's fight on his undercard on June 15th.

Now ahead of Moton's fight on the undercard of Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal II, FightHype enquired the 18-year-old about his "beef" with Davis. "Yeah, I wouldn't call it a beef. Him and Floyd had some beef going on and I had posted a tweet of me and Floyd. I guess it was bad timing to post it," began Moton.

"Tank felt it was directed towards him. So, you know he took it the way he took it. Things happen [and] that's in the past. I'm not really worried about it," answered Curmel Moton . At the same, while questions were raised about Mayweather Promotions following Leonard Ellerbe's exit, Moton boasted of his association with 'TBE.'

"I got my team. I know Floyd got my back. And I got a real strong team I trust them. I'm going to get on these cards and put out great performances," Moton added. In this context, Curmel mentioned how Floyd assured him of the opportunities he would receive.

Curmel Moton looks forward to a brighter future in boxing It must have been a little disheartening for Curmel Moton to not have been able to perform on Gervonta Davis' undercard at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. However, Moton assured his fans that "something else" was on its way. Little did people know at the time he would manage a space on the undercard of Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal II at Honda Center, Anaheim. So, ahead of his fight against Nikolai Buzolin who is a stepping stone, Moton recalled Mayweather's words of assurance.

What did Mayweather tell Moton when Davis dispensed with Moton? "He just told me 'Don't worry about it.' There's a whole bunch of other cards. So, I'm right back on this one," the 18-year-old said. "So, there's more and more opportunities coming," he concluded with aspiration. With that said, what do you think of Curmel Moton not being bothered by Gervonta Davis?
