Footy star Bayley Fritsch shares photos of his romantic marriage proposal in tropical holiday hot spot

Melbourne Demons star Bayley Fritsch's heartwarming marriage proposal has been accepted by his girlfriend Natalie Perin during a romantic post-season holiday in Hawaii .

On Wednesday, the AFL sharpshooter confirmed he'd popped the question to his partner, posting a series of photos to Instagram.

'I can't wait to spend forever with you,' the couple posted.

The couple also uploaded a video clip of Fritsch proposing near a hot tub, with scattered flowers on the floor.

In traditional style, he got down on bended knee and presented Natalie with a ring and the pair embraced afterwards.

Friends, family and fans were quick to congratulate the couple.

'Congratulations guys! Huge result,' posted one follower.

'So happy for you both!' said another.

'Crying of happiness for you both,' replied a third.

In August, former Essendon football star Jobe Watson set the date for his upcoming wedding.

Watson proposed to his partner Virginia Slaghekke in September last year - and now the couple are set to walk down the aisle together in March.

In September, Collingwood star Josh Daicos proposed to fiancee Annalise Dalins in Greece.

The pair holidayed further together after the magic moment, which they shared to Instagram at the time.

'The happiest day of our lives. My girl for a lifetime' the footballer wrote in the caption alongside the sweet images.

In October, Lions forward Charlie Cameron married long-time partner Caitlin Seeto.

The pair, who announced their engagement last year, were married in a lavish ceremony in southeast Queensland.
