A former Chicago cop was arrested in Travis County earlier this week for allegedly impersonating a DEA agent and assaulting a person.

According to an arrest affidavit, 44-year-old Dimitri Roberts initially confronted the victim at a vape shop, asking to see his ID and claiming to be a cop.

Roberts then went to the victim's house and forced the victim to sit in his car while he spoke to the victim's father.

After their conversation, he returned to the car, hit the victim in the back of the head, and drove off.

Investigators found that Roberts had been an officer with the Chicago Police Department until 2014 but is not a current federal agent.

He's been charged with impersonating an officer and misdemeanor assault.
