Former Pittsburgh Steelers OT makes major life announcement

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Zach Banner announced that he and his wife, Alexandra, are expecting their first child together.

"Zaddy is officially a daddy...My wife is a superhero... Baby Banner coming 2025," Banner posted on X .

Multiple former Steelers players congratulated Banner, including Arthur Moats and J.C. Hassenauer. Banner, a fan favorite of 'No. 72 is eligible' fame while with the Steelers, spent four years with the Steelers from 2018 to 2021.

Banner earned the starting right tackle job in 2020. but suffered a torn ACL. While rehabbing, he suffered setbacks and was never able to get back onto the field for the Steelers.

In September, Banner stated that he was ready for an NFL comeback and is continuously working out, hoping to get another shot in the NFL. Banner, now 30, was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts out of USC.
