In September, the Fort Morgan Chamber celebrated by adding YPR (Young People in Recovery), Morgan County Chapter, as a new member.

YPR is a nonprofit that provides resources for individuals in recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol through life skills and peer support. According to their website, YPR currently has 54 chapters in 19 states nationwide, with new chapters launching yearly. Their services are free, and their program includes recovery meetings, pro-social events, life skills training workshops, and harm reduction education. YPR partners with local agencies to provide assistance and education and work with Probation and Parole officers.

Ryanne Spelts, Chapter Lead and Program Coordinator, supports the group through weekly meetings, a life skill program, and group activities. She has also organized BBQs, nature walks, sporting events, and even a paintball event, free and open to the public. Spelts also continues her education, recently receiving certificates in Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid and Recovery Coach.
