Fox Sports’ Charissa Thompson Shares One Thing Fans Do that Annoys Her
Fox Sports reporters Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews are pretty candid about what life is like as sports journalists working for one of the biggest sports broadcasting companies in the world.
The two co-host the "Calm Down" podcast together where they discuss a wide range of topics from their jobs, their personal lives and everything in between.
Both sportscasters have been pretty up-front about some of the tribulations of their jobs, which include some unnecessary criticism from fans about their physical appearance and outfit selections given their presence in front of the camera.
During a recent episode of "Calm Down," Thompson discussed one thing that she's encountered recently that's really grinded her gears - the commentary on her fashion choices.
"I had worn pleather Week 1 in Miami because I liked the outfit. You know what? Who cares? I don't care if it's leather but people were like, 'Weren't you hot wearing leather?' You don't think that I thought of that? Yeah, I know I'm hot but I was interested in having the look. It looked better than any other option that I had. I don't know why I got so annoyed.
"And then when I'm wearing ridiculously tall shoes and I'm like walking in heels, they're like, 'Are those uncomfortable?' I'm like, wildly uncomfortable but they look f***ing great, so I don't care. Shut up."
Andrews shared that she's dealt with similar criticism, but they both agreed that their appearance sometimes takes priority over their comfortability when on camera.
Thompson and Andrews have both gone viral a few times this season when their outfit choices have been revealed during their respective pre-game shows.
In addition to her role at Fox Sports, Thompson also hosts "Thursday Night Football" on Amazon Prime Video.
