Fraggle Rock 'magical' show headed to San Antonio stage

The Fraggles want to party with San Antonio.

On Feb. 13 at the Tobin Center , the creatures of the Fraggle Rock universe will search for a magical stone imbued with the powers to create the "ultimate party" with a guest list that includes everyone. Tickets for "Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE" are on sale now .

The interactive stage musical brings to life the Jim Henson Company's Emmy-winning series "Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock." The children's slapstick comedy streams on the Apple TV+ service, and is based on a puppet universe created by Henson for the 1980s HBO show "Fraggle Rock."

Ticket prices start at $29.50 and run up to $75 for a VIP package, which includes front-row seating in the H-E-B performance hall and a meet-and-greet with two Fraggles. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.

"The interactive musical stage production includes both new and classic Fraggle songs, immersive effects, and all the hilarious, heartwarming magic that has captivated audiences for over 40 years," the Jim Henson Company said in a statement.

The tour will hit 48 cities across the U.S.. The Fraggle Rock cast will also perform in Houston on Feb. 14-15, before heading to Austin for a Feb. 16 show.
