Why You Should Carry Naloxone

• Prevent Overdose Fatalities: Naloxone rapidly reverses opioid overdoses, helping prevent fatalities. In 2021 alone, opioids were involved in over 80,000 of the 107,000 drug overdose deaths nationwide.

• Empower Bystander Response: In many cases, bystanders are present during an overdose. With naloxone on hand, they can act immediately to save a life.

• Protect Against Accidental Ingestion: Households with opioid prescriptions benefit from having naloxone, particularly if children are present.

• Support Senior Safety: Many seniors use prescription medications that can interact with opioids. Naloxone provides an added layer of safety in case of accidental overdose.

• Protect Youth: Teens and young adults face risks of accidental overdose. Naloxone offers a critical safety net.

• Carrying naloxone can be the difference between life and death in an emergency.
