Frank B. Wrona, of Dunmore died Friday at his home. Born in Throop, he was
the son of the late Benjamin and Frances (Wodla) Wrona. He was a member of St.
Anthony of Padua Church on Smith Street in Dunmore. He was a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He then
served for 21 years in the 28th Division, 109th Infantry First Battalion of
the Pennsylvania National Guard, retiring as a staff sergeant. Before his
retirement, he was employed by Grove Textiles in Dunmore.~~ Surviving are his
wife, the former Josephine Cigna, with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding
anniversary last July; daughter, Carol Kuffa, Tunkhannock; son, Frank B., Jr.,
Dunmore; two grandchildren; sister, Mary Zurko, Throop; and several nieces,
nephews and cousins. The funeral will be Monday from the Thomas J. Golden
Funeral Home, 2004 Delaware St., Dunmore, with Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony
of Padua Church. Interment will be in Dunmore Cemetery. Friends may call from
