S.Brown3 months ago
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for a part of central Lower Michigan. The area under the winter weather advisory is highlighted in purple.- Grand RapidsNOAA Temperatures are around 32 to 34 degrees at 8 a.m. from Cadillac to Big Rapids to Alma. These spots also dropped several degrees below freezing before the rain started. You might find small stretches where it quickly becomes icy, so slow down. Slow down if you are driving on U.S. 131 from Cadillac southward to Grand Rapids. Slow down on U.S. 10 from Ludington to Midland. Slow down on M-115 from Mesick through Cadillac to Clare. The freezing rain could accumulate up to one-tenth of an inch and cause slick roads. Temperatures will warm several degrees above freezing by 10 a.m. and melt any ice accumulation. If you can wait to drive in the winter weather advisory area, late morning will be much safer.
