Friday starts off foggy, temps stay warm
(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Friday starts off with a Dense Fog Advisory as visibility can be less than a tenth of a mile in some areas around Uptown and through the foothills of North Carolina. Be sure to give yourself some extra time this morning when heading out the door, as limited visibility can cause a few issues on the roadways.
Temperatures are still well above normal, not just for our morning temperatures but for our afternoon highs as well. We start off with mid to upper 60s around the Queen City which is at or slightly above the normal highs we typically experience this time of year.
This afternoon will see partly to mostly cloudy skies as highs peak well above normal landing just two degrees off of our record high set back in 2023. We'll stay mostly dry out ahead of the weekend as overnight lows dip into the mid-50s heading into the weekend.
Saturday will start the weekend near 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies with mostly dry conditions and relatively light winds. An approaching cold front will bring another round of wet weather for Sunday as the mid-60s finish off the weekend.
Veteran's Day will start the week with mid-70s and spotty showers. We'll see high pressure return as temperatures cool down back into the upper 60s to low 70s and sunshine returns by Wednesday of next week.
Today: Partly Cloudy & Very Warm. High: 79.
Tonight: Partly Cloudy and Comfortable. Low: 54.
