Friendswood Development plans new residential project in Cleveland

Montgomery County commissioners approved a general plan for a new 400-acre residential development off Old Highway 105 near Faulkner Road in Cleveland.

The proposed project is being developed by Friendswood Development Co.

According to information from the county, the development will have five sections and include a recreational center. The number of homes planned was not available.

Friendswood Development Co. is also building the 1,000-acre master-planned community of Travola near U.S. 59. At build-out, the community will feature more than 1,800 single-family homes, 100 townhomes, and more than 20 acres of medium-density multifamily housing. It also includes several acres of retail, a three-acre recreation center, and an elementary school.
