SANTA ANA PUEBLO — The Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation Program, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization at the Stables at Tamaya on the Santa Ana Pueblo in New Mexico, announces the 2024 Tamaya Horseshoes & Heels Gala Nov. 30, 2024. The charity event will bring awareness to the plight of unwanted horses in New Mexico and raise funds for its ongoing efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need.

Founded more than 10 years ago at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa's Stables at Tamaya, the Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation Program has helped and rescued more than factors can lead to unwanted, abandoned, or surrendered horses including a horse's decline in health or behavioral problems, and the owner's financial or physical hardships.

"We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Tamaya Horseshoes & Heels Gala which will help us raise funds to rescue and rehabilitate surrendered and neglected horses," said Connie Collis, director of the Stables at Tamaya. "The Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation Program is dedicated to giving them a second chance and providing horses with all the support and resources they need to lead happy, healthy lives." The money raised during the gala will be used for veterinary care, training, shelter, and feed for the animals.

Hosted at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, the Tamaya Horseshoes & Heels Gala begins with a cocktail reception for socializing and a silent auction to bid on select items ranging from hotel stays to artwork to jewelry. Guest will also have the opportunity to be photographed with some of the rescued horses visiting the gala. The resort's culinary team will serve a three-course meal specially prepared for the event. It will be followed by a fun and engaging live auction, music and dancing, and a live performance from the Austin Van band.

Tickets for the Tamaya Horseshoes & Heels Gala range in price between $125 per person and up to $900 for a table of eight. To purchase tickets visit TamayaHorseRehab.com/Events

Hyatt resort and hotel stays, trips of a lifetime, and special items will be available at the gala's silent auction with proceeds going to the program. Companies, organizations, groups, and individuals can also contribute to Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation through a variety of support programs including donating a bale of hay, virtually adopting a horse, and becoming an event sponsor. As Dec. 3, 2024 is considered Giving Tuesday, people can give the gift of horse rehabilitation by contributing to the program in the name of their friend or loved one by visiting TamayaHorseRehab.com. They can also support the stables' Buy a Child a Ride program with a $50 donation. It provides a horseback ride or horse experience for an underprivileged child.
