Customs and Border Protection agents at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport arrested a Georgia man who was wanted on felony child molestation charges, the U.S. CBP Baltimore Field Office said Thursday .

Daniel Coronado, 54, of Alpharetta, Georgia, was arrested Monday at BWI after arriving on a flight from Cancun, Mexico, CBP officials said.

Officials did not disclose what flight Coronado was on, or what time he was at the airport.

CBP officers compared the international passenger manifest from the flight to the National Crime Information Center and saw Coronado had an arrest warrant, the agency said.

After confirming the warrant was active and that Forsyth County, Georgia, wanted extradition, officers arrested Coronado and transferred him to a detention facility in Anne Arundel County.

Coronado remains held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center, according to online records. He's been assigned a public defender in his fugitive case in Anne Arundel County District Court, according to online court records.

CBP's mission allows it to "help our law enforcement partners by capturing allegedly dangerous persons who are wanted on very serious charges of harming minors," Adam Rottman, CBP's Area Port Director for the Area Port of Baltimore, said in a statement.
