Georgia moves up in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings as it pushes for No. 1 class
Kirby Smart and Georgia added another key piece to their 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday with four-star Milton (Ga.) wide receiver CJ Wiley announcing his commitment to the Bulldogs.
The in-state star was previously committed to Florida State until last month, when he backed off that pledge and re-opened his recruitment. UGA and Texas A&M were considered to be the favorite this time around.
But Smart and his staff closed on another Peach State prospect.
"Georgia has a place for you here if you are interested (has been their message)," Wiley told DawgsHQ earlier this month . "Georgia can throw the ball down, and they have a strong and they have a strong running game. I can play all the receiver positions."
Wiley's addition is not only big because it gives the Bulldogs a dynamic playmaker, but Georgia now moves into the No. 3 spot in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings . With exactly four weeks until National Signing Day, another top-ranked class is in play.
Bulldogs making in-state targets a priorityLast cycle, Georgia signed just 9 in-state prospects in its entire 29-player class. They still finished with the country's No. 1 class, but took a different approach in 2025.
With Wiley, they have now doubled the number of Peach State recruits in their class with 18 — which makes up nearly three-quarters of their current pledges.
He joins a group that includes Savannah Christian Prep Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin , Warner Robins five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson , Schley County five-star linebacker Zayden Walker , and Camden County four-star tight end Elyiss Williams , the No. 2 player at his position nationally.
