Get your holiday parties booked and a new menu at Leo’s
WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Since 1982, Chef Leo at Leo's Ristorante on East Market Street in Warren has reinvented great food with innovative techniques and preparation using family traditions of Italian cooking. Hence, a new fall menu you won't soon forget.
We have a miso maple glazed fair island salmon with an autumn risotto, shaved Brussels sprouts and mushrooms," said Leo's Ristorante owner Chef Leo. "We have a butternut squash sacchetti. It's a little purse-shaped pasta. It's almost like a butternut squash bisque type of soup–a type of sauce with some toasted pecans."
Leo's Ristorante not only features the new fall menu, but lunch, dinner, drinks and appetizers as well like its Clams and Mussels Peperonata.
"Nice little appetizer for, you know, for two to share just by yourself. Don't share with anybody," said Leo. "Appetizers, calamari. We are famous for it. Our beans and greens. Our smelts. You find the bone in and we buy in back. Meats. Right now we're running braised short ribs, but we do specials, other proteins during the week. That's the one nice thing about that. The seasonal thing. You know, we have our set menu that we change a little bit, but then each week we get in different things. We play with different things, whether it's an appetizer. So salads, entrees, a little bit of everything."
A big part of Leo's Ristorante is its on and off-site catering with banquet rooms in the same building as the restaurant. Whether it's a wedding, baby shower, funeral event or whatever you have coming up.
"We have three on premise. One holds for up to 450 or could be divided into three smaller ones. One front room holds 60 and the patio room holds 80," said Leo. "And you want to start thinking about your Christmas parties soon."
Leo's Ristorante also has a patio for guests to enjoy in the warm weather and a quaint, private upstairs area that seats 95. If you're having an event on your own, Leo's will take care of that as well.
"We'll do anything, you know, with the stuff that's listed on our website as a starting point, if it's something that you're just looking for quick, really fast," said Leo. "Need to have a tray of pasta, half a tray of chicken, or something that's always available if you want to call. We can set up something special for a Christmas party or house. Just call ahead and ask for Lisa or Patty. We will do anything you want wherever you want it."
