‘Gets Tired of Me’ – Serena Williams Reveals How She Taunts Olympia With Enchanting Gesture When Away From Home

Finding a balance between your professional and personal life is tough, but staying away from your child is even tougher! In 2018, when Serena Williams was still a professional tennis player, she admitted, "It's been so hard balancing being a mom and starting my clothing line, as well as playing a professional sport! However, it is the challenge that makes it fun!" However, talking about fun, Williams has now taken up a fun activity as the only way to help her out when she's away from her elder daughter, Olympia. What's it, though? When she was playing tennis, there were moments during the practice sessions when she used to think "What my baby is doing?" It was really difficult for her to leave Olympia at home and in 2019 she even admitted, "It isn't easy to become a mother. I totally do not (get it). I'm a mess." However, with time she has also learned different ways of raising a child while still getting some time out for her career. For example, recently she shared a video clip on her social media accounts, where she was seen making some notes on a few small papers. What were the notes for, though? Well, in the caption of that video clip, Serena Williams wrote, "If I ever have to go out of town I make sure I write a lot of letters for Olympia to find. Under her bed, in her classroom, in her backpack, at dinner, at breakfast. I think ultimately she gets tired of me." This is quite hilarious, but she says this is very effective and that's exactly how she has transitioned to become a supermom. Talking about being a supermom, what is her parenting advice? Well, although she claimed that she doesn't have any such particular advice, Williams strongly believes that to be a champion parent, one just has to show up and be there for their child. Did she ever get any valuable parenting advice in her life from anyone? Serena Williams is mom to daughters Olympia and Adira, and parenting two daughters in the middle of busy schedules is always very challenging. How does she manage to give time to both of them equally? Well, earlier this year during an interview, Serena Williams revealed, "Someone gave me the best advice, they said, 'Spend more time with the oldest cause they'll remember.'" She further added, "Isn't that the best advice? But I do. Because the little one won't remember. So whenever Olympia's home, I'm with her. And then Adira, I'm just like, 'Okay...' I pretend like I don't know her as much." Williams further revealed that the sole reason behind all of this is that she wants to make Olympia feel like she's not replaced. Sources close to the family say, her husband, Alexis Ohanian is such a hands-on dad and so caring and supportive, that things have become easier for Williams to handle both kids. Recently, the couple celebrated their seven years of marriage, and here's what they had to say on their special day. "You're an amazing mama" – Alexis Ohanian heaps praise Serena Williams' parenting skills "Marriage is not bliss, but it can be if you work at it," – Remember, this quote from Serena Williams ? She said this in 2021. Almost three years have passed since that, and both Williams and Ohanian have never missed a single chance to impress their fans with their adorable bonding. The couple first met in May 2015 and they tied the knot in 2017 at New Orleans' Contemporary Arts Center. November 16, 2024, marked their seventh wedding anniversary. Both of them shared a few heartfelt social media posts to mark their latest wedding anniversary . For example, Serena Williams shared a few glimpses from their costume party and captioned that post with, "7 years has gone so fast... Happy anniversary Thank you for being the best dad to our girls and Thanks for also making average November day a costume party and making it special. " Then Alexis Ohanian commented on that post saying, " Thank you for blessing me with the two best humans we ever met." Then a few moments later, Ohanian also posted a picture with a heartfelt caption. He wrote, "7 years ago today, we got married here. Now we get to bring these two for beignets. Happy Anniversary You're an amazing mama. I'm very lucky to have met you So, these posts tell us exactly how they have been enjoying their parenting roles to the fullest.
